St. Louis taking new approach to development

Posted online
St. Louis officials unveiled their plans Jan. 28 to use a new market value analysis of city real estate to help better direct public money and encourage private investment and redevelopment.

The new analysis is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which is calling on the city to clean up its community development support. The data-focused approach essentially comprises a map of residential real estate conditions across the city, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
