St. Louis sues NFL over Rams relocation

Posted online
The city and county of St. Louis, as well as the Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority, are suing the National Football League over the relocation of the Rams 15 months ago.

The suit filed yesterday lists the NFL and all 32 NFL teams as defendants. It seeks damages and restitution of profits.

According to the suit, St. Louis is losing out on $1.85 million to $3.5 million annually in amusement and ticket tax revenue without the Rams in town. The suit claims the city also has lost $7.5 million in property taxes and $1.4 million in sales taxes.

Further, the suit claims the Rams and the NFL made false statement to interfere with business expectations related to the move.
