A 50-page report conducted by the Armanino accounting firm found alleged questionable spending by St. Louis Public Schools' ousted superintendent.
The report points to alleged excessive spending on meals, travel and gifts by former Superintendent Keisha Scarlett. It alleges Scarlett received a monthly car allowance in violation of her contract, and that she bypassed district policies to award salaries and contracts.
Scarlett was placed on paid temporary leave pending the results of the investigation this summer. She was fired while the investigation was ongoing.
