Iowa-based newspaper company Lee Enterprises, the parent company of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, is facing three new invasion-of-privacy lawsuits from current or former employees.
The plaintiffs are seeking class-actious status in the lawsuits, which allege Lee omitted critical details in informing them of a data breach. The lawsuits have claims of negligence, breach of an implied contract, unjust enrichment and invasion of privacy.
The operator of hundreds of publications in 25 states, Lee recently agreed to pay $9.5 million related to a separate 2020 data breach.
