The Hoffmann Family of Cos. is proposing the purchase of St. Louis Post-Dispatch owner Lee Enterprises (Nasdaq: LEE).
Lee Enterprises CEO Kevin Mowbray said the company would evaluate the deal if a specific offer is made. Such a deal is expected to take Lee Enterprises private.
The Hoffmann Family of Cos. owns 14 media companies and is involved in industries from aviation to wine tourism to commercial office markets.
