A St. Louis startup is in line to pitch their business on national television.
Entrepreneurs Kevin Tibbs and Tim Barklage, co-founders of Better Life natural cleaning supplies, are scheduled to appear on Friday night’s “Shark Tank,” ABC’s reality show that simulates venture-capital pitches, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.
Though the show was filmed this summer, the St. Louis businessmen told the journal they can’t reveal the outcome until it airs. They’re seeking a strategic partnership from the panel of celebrity investors, though any potential investment would do for the largely self-funded company that expects to close 2013 with $3 million in revenue.
Shark investors on the show include Dallas Mavericks chairman Mark Cuban, who recently scratched the biggest deal in “Shark Tank” history. Cuban agreed to invest $2 million for a 20 percent stake in Los Angeles entrepreneur Melissa Carbone’s Ten Thirty One Production Entertainment, which creates and produces live horror attractions.
