The governing body of St. Louis County voted to halt evictions through the end of June.
"It’s a very important public health policy during a pandemic to prevent people from becoming homeless," said St. Louis County Executive Sam Page, who is expected to sign the bill into law.
The moratorium contradicts a ruling from St. Louis County Presiding Judge Michael Burton, according to KSDK. His ruling indicated evictions could resume on April 5.
