The St. Louis County Department of Public Health has issued dozens of cease-and-desist letters to businesses in recent days.
The three-dozen establishments have been ordered to stop indoor service or face lawsuits or criminal charges, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. At least 11 of the businesses have received a second notice.
The businesses are accused of violating the county's safer-at-home order that went into effect Nov. 17. It has restrictions on leaving home and dining out amid an increase in coronavirus cases.
