St. Louis County Executive Sam Page has floated the idea of rejoining with the city of St. Louis.
Both municipalities are struggling with budget issues, and Page said a consolidation of services could bring cost savings.
"Consolidation of services brings efficiency and public safety, street maintenance, our public health safety net. These consolidations and cooperative agreements allow us to maintain services without increasing taxes," Page said.
