The St. Louis County Council voted 5-2 yesterday to throw out the county's new mask mandate, putting its status in limbo.
County Executive Sam Page dismissed the vote as meaningless, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
“Masks will help slow the spread of the virus while we continue to vaccinate as many people as we can," he said.
Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt has filed suit challenging the order.
