The St. Louis County Council yesterday approved $6 million in funding for a $54 million youth sports complex in Hazelwood.
The request for hotel tax revenue came from Dan Buck, who is developing the Powerplex project at the site of the former St. Louis Outlet Mall.
Buck previously told council members the funding would help bring private investors to the table.
