St. Louis County has named a new police chief.
The county's Board of Police Commissioners selected Kenneth Gregory for the role. The department's first-ever Black chief, Gregory became its leader on an interim basis last year.
Traditionally, the Board of Police Commissioners has opened an application process for the position. However, that process was bypassed, according to KSDK.
