Project description: Plans call for the St. Louis Children’s at CoxHealth Specialty Care Center to deliver care to children and families who would otherwise have to travel out of the Springfield area for services. The new center requires enhanced stormwater infrastructure, two new right-turn lanes from Primrose Street, expanded parking and additional site improvements. Project officials say the site and building design, which started construction in January just west of the health system’s Ferrell-Duncan Clinic, will enhance the patient experience.
