The St. Louis Cardinals have finished their first losing season since 2007, and the team’s local television ratings in 2023 plummeted as a result.
Despite their year-over-year ratings decline, the Cardinals finished the 2023 season ranked second in Major League Baseball for local television ratings. Only the Philadelphia Phillies did better.
It was the 24th consecutive season in which the Cardinals have ranked fourth or better for local TV viewership, according to Bally Sports.
