The St. Joseph City Council approved incentives Monday night to lure a Montana bacon producer to town.
The council voted to abate real and personal property taxes for Daily’s Premium Meats at a rate of 100 percent the first five years and 75 percent for the following five years, according to the News-Press.
The city is competing for a 100,000-square foot facility expected to bring $41.5 million in investment dollars and 212 jobs.
