Day replaces Jay Eckersley, who announced today his plans to retire early and serve a full-time mission for the Mormon church. He came to St. John’s in July 1999.
Day has served as chief financial officer for St. John’s since 2000 and as executive vice president since 2003. He previously worked for SSM Health Care in St. Louis and Menorah Medical Center in Kansas City.
Day holds a master’s degree in business administration from Central Missouri State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Rockhurst College in Kansas City.
St. John’s employs more than 9,000 and serves a 32-county area in the Ozarks.
