The Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau’s St. Francis of Assisi building will comprise 13,880 square feet and is slated for completion in October. Principal architect Rob Haik of H Design said rough framing is complete and crews are getting ready to work on interior build-out. The project, funded by parish and diocese donations, comprises two spaces that will be joined by an entry canopy with a natural stone accent wall. The larger space, with roughly 9,000 square feet, will have a sanctuary and square footage that will later be finished as community space and classrooms. The smaller of the two spaces will house administrative offices and a chapel.[[In-content Ad]]
