St. Charles to spend $16M on aquatic renovations

The city of St. Charles is improving its aquatic facilities to the tune of more than $16 million.

Plans comprise $8.5 million in improvements to the Wapelhorst Aquatic Facility and the construction of the $8 million Blanchette Aquatic Facility.

Residents passed a tax increase measure last year to fund the changes. At its Tuesday night meeting, St. Charles City Council moved forward with the process of hiring contractors, according to CBS St. Louis.
