St. Charles County to oppose Kroenke-backed development plan

The St. Charles County Council tonight is expected to vote down a development backed by Stan Kroenke.

The proposed Maryland Heights development for 1,800 acres of flood plain across the Missouri River is being led by Alan Bornstein, the longtime attorney and partner of Los Angeles Rams owner and real estate mogul Kroenke.

Charles County Council plans to vote on a resolution stating it opposes "any proposal to develop in flood-prone areas or continuing a pattern of development that can be expected to divert flood waters onto other areas."
