A St. Charles-area lawmaker resigned to take a job within Gov. Mike Parson's administration.
Robert Cornejo, the Republican representative for parts of St. Charles and Lincoln counties, was slated to run unopposed for re-election in November.
Parson appointed Cornejo as chairman of the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission.
