Square opens St. Louis office, plans to hire 200

Mobile payment company Square has opened an office in the hometown of co-founders Jack Dorsey and Jim McKelvey.

Its eighth office worldwide, the St. Louis facility includes plans to hire over 200 people.

The San Francisco-based company plans to initially hire 40 people for compliance operations, customer support, information technology and recruiting. The rest would be hired over the next five years.
