SPS’ transportation supervisor takes job out west

Lori Jioras went from transportation supervisor of the largest school district in Missouri to transportation director of the Apache Junction Unified School District in Arizona.

She worked as Springfield Public Schools’ transportation supervisor for nearly three years of her 13-year career, according to her LinkedIn profile and the Apache Junction News. Her husband, Tony, worked in the corporate office of Bass Pro Shops and in the move he took the manager position of the fishing department in the Mesa, Arizona, store.

Jioras started her transportation career as a bus driver and moved her way through a variety of positions. Apache Junction has nearly 40,000 people and about 5,000 students in the school district.
