Springfield Public Schools and Phoenix Home Care Inc. are hosting separate hiring events today and later this month.
SPS The district will host a job fair today 2-4 p.m. in the Central High School commons area, 423 E. Central Ave.
According to a news release, the roughly 65 available positions are in the areas of nutrition service, maintenance, transportation and custodial.
SPS employs some 3,905, according to Springfield Business Journal list researched as of June 16. It ranks as the third-largest employer on SBJ's list of the "Springfield Area's Largest Employers."
Phoenix The in-home health care company plans to add about 20 licensed practical nurse and registered nurses.
The positions, available in Springfield, Branson, Joplin, Bolivar and surrounding communities, would work for Phoenix's pediatric private duty nursing department, according to a news release.
Phoenix spokeswoman Machelle Farmer said the company employs some 1,500 companywide.
The hiring event is scheduled 5-7 p.m. July 17 at its 3033 S. Kansas Expressway office in Springfield.
