Sprint to lay off 829 in Kan.

Sprint Corp. (NYSE: S) filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act notice with state of Kansas, revealing it would lay off 829 employees in the state.

The cuts are part of "thousands" announced by Sprint in November.

A Sprint spokeswoman previously said not all of the cuts would be made in the Kansas City area.
