Sprint to launch KC business incubator

Sprint Corp. has put in motion plans to launch a business incubator in Kansas City next year.

The wireless carrier is building the Sprint Mobile Health Accelerator, for which it is seeking first-round candidates in the early-stage mobile technology industry, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.

Participating companies could receive up to $120,000 in funding. Sprint has ramped up its interest in small business, including a spring purchase of OneLouder Apps Inc. and several partnerships.
