In a federal lawsuit filed in Kansas City, Sprint Corp. claims a Missouri carrier has been overcharging the cellphone company for long-distance fees for at lease five years.
The carrier, Missouri Network Alliance, allegedly charged Sprint higher fees than allowed by state and federal laws for connecting long-distance calls from one carrier to the next. According to the Kansas City Business Journal, Sprint seeks to recover all fees that exceeded the regulatory minimums, in addition to damages and other costs.
Missouri Network Alliance has not yet responded to the suit, the business journal reported.
