Sprint speed falls short in KC

Posted online
Sprint Corp. (NYSE: S), which is based in Overland Park, Kan., offers the slowest Internet speeds in Kansas City of the four major wireless networks in the area, according to the Kansas City Star.

Network testing firm RootMetrics said it found in its November tests that Sprint’s average download speeds were less than half the speed of its competitors. RootMetrics found that T-Mobile and AT&T had the fastest Internet speeds in Kansas City. RootMetrics’ tests also examined network reliability, and determined that AT&T and Verizon came out on top among major carriers.
