Sprint reports larger quarterly loss

Sprint reported a quarterly net loss of $302 million, or 8 cents per share, compared to a loss of $20 million, or 1 cent per share, a year earlier.

Revenue fell to $8.01 billion from $8.03 billion.

The fourth-largest U.S. wireless carrier cited heavy discounts to attract customers.
