Overland Park, Kan.-based Sprint Corp. improved its net income losses in the first quarter but managed to lose about 467,000 customers the first three months of the year, according to its quarterly earnings release.
Sprint decreased its net losses from $643 million in the first quarter of 2013 to $151 million in 2014 — a nearly 77 percent improvement, the Kansas City Business Journal reported. Total subscribers are now 54.88 million.
Sprint also posted net operating income of $420 million — the best in seven years. The business journal reported that a year ago, Sprint had operating income of $15 million.
