Attorney Wallace S. Squibb of Spring-field is one of five new members of the Missouri Bar Board of Governors who will take office at the conclusion of the 2001 Missouri Bar Annual Meeting.
Voting in districts across the state, Missouri lawyers elected Squibb along with Mike Greenwell of Shelbina; Max Mitchell of Sedalia; Carol Chazen Fried-man of St. Louis and Daniel Pelikan of St. Charles.
In the same election, members of the bar's Young Lawyers' Section chose three new members to that group's governing council and reelected 10 more.
The following members of the Board of Governors were reelected to new two-year terms: Jack Peace of Trenton; John Ruth of Jefferson City; John Cowherd of Mount Vernon; Erik Bergmanis of Camdenton; Richard Steele of Cape Girardeau; Scott L. Campbell of Platte City; Richard C. Bresnahan, Bruce F. Hilton, Mark H. Levison, F. Dianne Taylor and William Corrigan, Jr., all of St. Louis; Charlie J. Harris, Joe B. Whis-ler, Cathy J. Dean and John S. Johnston, all of Kansas City; and H. A. "Skip"Walther of Columbia.
New members of the Young Lawyers' Section Council are: Michael A. Williams of Kansas City; Robert J. Buckley of Columbia; and Charles A. (Chip) Gentry of Jefferson City.
Incumbents elected to another term on the YLS Council are: Neil F. Maune Jr. of Hannibal; Patricia A. Sexton, Anthony M. Totta, Jeffrey M. Russell and Thomas G. Munsell, all of Kansas City; John R. (J. B.) Lasater and Kimberly J. Bettis-worth, both of Clayton; Morry S. Cole of St. Louis; Wallace S. Squibb of Spring-field; and Timothy M. McDuffey of Camdenton.

The Young Lawyers' Section Council is the elected body representing the interests of all lawyers ages 36 and younger, as well as newly admitted lawyers regardless of age.
