A Springfield woman purchased the winning ticket for the seventh annual St. Jude Dream Home giveaway, which raised approximately $600,000 for the hospital.
Evelyn Raffety won the home, which is located at
351 W. Monarch Wood Drive in Nixa, and valued at roughly $400,000, according to a news release from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Her winning ticket was announced during the KSPR ABC 33 Dream Home special June 26.
Springfield Business Journal showcased the home as part of its
2011 Parade of Homes feature.
The 4,000-square-foot, four-bedroom home was constructed by Fahrlander Custom Homes Inc. in the Kelby Creek subdivision.
All of the contest's 6,000 tickets were sold - at $100 apiece - raising $600,000 for research and treatment at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, according to the release.
“We’re really proud of the success of the seventh annual St. Jude Dream Home giveaway in Springfield,” Jeff Fahrlander of Fahrlander Custom Homes said in the release. “We are very appreciative of KSPR ABC 33, 94.7 KTTS, Kelby Creek development, volunteers, local businesses and local residents whose generous support made this event possible.”[[In-content Ad]]
