Springfield-based sign company Boyce Industries Inc. has sold its outdoor advertising assets.
Roswell, Georgia-based Link Media Outdoor purchased the assets of Boyce Industries' Missouri Neon Outdoor, which has more than 800 billboard faces in Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma, according to a Dec. 30 news release. Boyce Industries also operates Missouri Neon Co., which makes custom signage for businesses, according to its website.
"Link is excited to greatly enhance our Missouri footprint, add on in Oklahoma and enter the Arkansas market, as we expand our service to advertisers and prospective customers in that area," Link President and CEO Scott LaFoy said in the release. "Missouri Neon Outdoor is a well-built and well-run family business."
Link Media Outdoor, a subsidiary of Boston Omaha Corp. (Nasdaq: BOMN), now has more than 7,400 billboard advertising faces in 14 states. The financial terms of the transaction with Boyce Industries were undisclosed.
Missouri Neon Co. was founded in 1934 by R.W. Wilson, according to the company's website. The business was purchased in 1963 by Vernon Boyce, and it's now led by his son, Larry Vernon Boyce, and daughter, Connie Sue Billings. Steve Raper leads the company's outdoor division.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
