Missouri state Rep. Jeremy Dean, D-Springfield, is seeking reelection.
Dean announced his reelection campaign in a news release issued today. Dean was elected to the District 132 seat, covering a portion of north and northwest Springfield, in November 2024, according to past reporting.
If reelected, Dean said he would continue his focus on working families through policies such as affordability, public education and housing.
"When I first ran for office, it was because working families were being left behind while politicians focused on the wrong priorities,” Dean said in the release. “Too many people were working hard, playing by the rules and still struggling to get ahead. I ran to be a fighter for them and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing."
He added, "I’m running to keep pushing for affordable communities, well-funded public schools and real housing solutions that meet the moment."
Dean has registered his campaign for the Aug. 4 primary election with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
