Springfield real estate firm rebrands

A real estate firm with more than 20 years in the Springfield market has rebranded.

Formerly Keller Williams Greater Springfield, the firm is now Keller Williams Local, according to a news release. It will continue operating from its 1619 E. Independence St. office.

Officials at the firm, which was founded locally in 2003, say it has experienced significant growth in its number of agents and residential units sold over the past couple of years. Rachel Watson, operating principal, said the company now supports roughly 480 agents who serve clients not only in Springfield, but areas such as Ava, Bolivar, Cabool, Rolla, West Plains and surrounding communities, as well as northern Arkansas.

Watson, who has been in her leadership role at the firm since June 2025, said a rebrand became a topic of conversation shortly thereafter. As the coverage area for its agents grew, she said its longtime name made less sense.

“After getting a lot of agent feedback, we decided that the rebrand would be best to suit our operation for the future,” Watson said, declining to disclose the firm’s rebrand investment, which was handled internally. “It’s really making sure that in this rebrand, we’re able to be that local market expert regardless of your ZIP code.

“As I’m looking three to five years out, our name no longer suited the company that we intend to be,” she added.

According to officials, the decision followed extensive conversations, a comprehensive strategic evaluation and a commitment to strengthen support across the firm’s expanded footprint.

It was a growth year in 2025 for residential sales at the local firm, Watson said. The firm ended the year with 4,703 residential transactions, resulting in roughly $1.4 billion in sales. The average home sales price was approximately $300,000, she said.

Those numbers are all up from the prior year, as Keller Williams ranked No. 2 on Springfield Business Journal’s 2025 list of the area’s largest residential real estate firms. It reported in 2024 gross residential sales of over $1.24 billion among 4,442 transactions. The firm noted its average home sales price as $279,760 in 2024.

Watson said she’s “super excited” to embark on this new chapter with the firm and continue to grow the business and its agent count, which she expects will reach 500 by year’s end.

“As we look at our real estate agents and the market does change, there’s not a one-size-fits-all in a real estate business for an agent,” she said. “So, it’s really figuring out what their needs are and then collectively what are the solutions, the programs, tools, systems that we can bring to them so that way they can be there for their clients in a more present manner and then that they can continue to grow their business in whatever extent that looks like for them.”

The rebrand also signals a renewed focus to equip agents with the tools, training and support needed to thrive in the real estate market.

According to the release, Keller Williams Local is investing in its agents this year through enhanced education, leadership development and advanced technology integration, which includes artificial intelligence-powered tools and a partnership with Canva, an online graphic design platform. Plans include elevated training opportunities, collaborative agent events, deeper local market insights and the introduction of additional support services, such as bookkeeping and operational resources.

Watson said the Canva partnership is with the franchising arm of Keller Williams, so the local franchise has access to a syndication of different graphics at no cost to its agents.
