Posted online
Springfield is the fourth-worst place for real estate agents, according to personal finance website WalletHub.com.

The Queen City was near the end of the list but still made WalletHub’s recent study of the top 150 U.S. cities for real estate agents.

The Queen City placed 147th in the study. WalletHub examined the broad categories of job opportunity and competition and real estate market health, which include such specific factors as unemployment rate, median home price, annual median wage for real estate agents and real estate employment attractiveness.

Among the 150 cities, Springfield placed:
    •    25th in unemployment rate;
    •    36th in real estate employment attractiveness, which measures real estate job density and competition;
    •    116th in annual median wage growth for real estate jobs;
    •    123rd in the housing market health index;
    •    128th in real estate employment growth;
    •    137th in median home price; and
    •    138th in annual median wage.

The top-ranked city in the study was Honolulu, Hawaii. Other Missouri cities were St. Louis, which placed 103rd, and Kansas City, at 126th.
