Springfield Police Department officer Mark Priebe was "seriously injured" yesterday after a man rammed him with his vehicle outside of headquarters, police officials said.
Priebe was scheduled to undergo surgery last night after being rammed into a barricade with an SUV, trapping him under the vehicle.
Police officials identified the suspect as Jon Tyler Franklin Routh, 28. Routh was shot at the scene and survived.
The incident occurred after the suspect caused a disturbance inside police headquarters and then urinated on the station's door handles as he left the building, officials say.
