Incumbent Tom Carlson is the sole candidate for the mayor’s seat.
General Seat C will be sought by Conrad Griggs, who currently holds the spot, and challenger Doug Burlison. Dan T. Chiles, Randel H. Hanes and Jack “Coach” Steck will vie for General Seat D, currently held by Bob Jones, who is not running again.
Running for Zone 2 are incumbent Shelia O. Wright, Cindy Rushefsky and Steven Lloyd Reed. Incumbent Ralph Manley will run unopposed in Zone 3.
Seat D and Zone 2 candidates will appear on the primary election ballot Feb. 6. Results of that election will determine the final two candidates for each of those offices, and they will join the remaining candidates on the April 3 municipal general election ballot.
