John Bradford Jensen, a Springfield man sued by Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon in April, was ordered earlier this month to pay a total of $3,754 $754 in restitution to consumers, and $3,000 to the state of Missouri.
According to the attorney general's office, Nixon sued Jensen following the investigation of complaints from consumers across the United States who bid on and paid for sports cards Jensen was advertising online. The restitution will be sent to 16 consumers who paid for the cards but did not receive them.
The order, signed by Greene County Circuit Judge Henry W. Westbrooke Jr., prohibits Jensen from selling goods or services via the Internet. He also was ordered not to make misrepresentations in the advertising and sale of merchandise. He faces penalties of up to $5,000 per violation if he does not comply with the court order.
