Owner and Publisher Bob Glazier, 80, and wife Harriette are closing the business because of declining health, Glazier said.
“We have spent the past 29 years of our life donating our time to this magazine,” Glazier said, noting the duo has never been on the payroll. “She and I are a great team if we’re together, and we’re going to be together a little more now.”
The Glaziers came on board at the publication four months after Larry Dixon founded it in June 1979.
Boonville-based Missouri Life magazine is picking up Springfield! Magazine’s 1,500 subscribers and several advertisers, Glazier said. The statewide magazine publishes six times a year.
Glazier said back issues of Springfield! Magazine and copies of collectible series it has published over the years will continue to be available through its office, 520 S. Union Ave., as well as through Missouri Life’s Web site, www.missourilife.com, starting in the spring.[[In-content Ad]]
