Revenue brought in by Springfield hotel rooms climbed 5.8 percent to $106.1 million last year from $100.3 million in 2015, according to data provided by the Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Hotel room revenue rose along with most of the other Queen City lodging metrics tracked by the CVB.
Springfield hotel data in 2016:
• The number of occupied hotel rooms rose to 62.4 percent from 59.8 percent in 2015.
• Average daily rate moved up to $81.09 from $79.47.
• Revenue per available room was $50.60, up from $47.55.
• Room demand increased to 1.31 million from 1.26 million.
Room supply — the number of hotel rooms in the city multiplied by the number of days in the month or year to date — fell to 2 million from 2.1 million a year earlier, according to the CVB.
