O'Reilly Hospitality Management LLC CEO Tim O'Reilly closed yesterday on the purchase of a TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Joplin, where he plans to invest $1 million in renovations.
Via O’Reilly Hospitality VIII-Joplin TPS LLC, O'Reilly purchased the 74-suite hotel from Allen Long of Joplin Hospitality LLC for an undisclosed amount.
The hotel is the sixth under management by O'Reilly Hospitality. The company operates the Doubletree Hotel and Hilton Garden Inn in Springfield; Baymont Inn & Suites in Branson; Tulsa Holiday Inn in Tulsa, Okla.; and Yellowstone Valley Lodge in Montana.
O'Reilly said he and other O'Reilly family members are majority owners in all properties managed by O'Reilly Hospitality, with the exception of the TownePlace Suites under development in Springfield. O'Reilly, Rita Baron of architecture firm Baron Design & Associates LLC and Terry Reynolds of C. Arch Bay Co. formed RTT Hospitality LLC for the hotel adjacent to Mercy Hospitality Springfield, where officials broke ground
March 4. O'Reilly Hospitality is slated to manage the hotel.
At the Joplin TownePlace Suites, 4026 S. Arizona Ave., O'Reilly has committed to immediately beginning renovations to the hotel's guest suites, common area, exercise room and pool. The project also calls for a new breakfast room and updated signage, according to a news release.
"We are thrilled to add this extended-stay hotel to our portfolio. It is phenomenal to see the rebuilding effort in Joplin that will, in our opinion, not only bring the city back to where it was before the tornado, but elevate it to a hub of business and leisure in the Midwest," O'Reilly said in the release.
