Posted online
Springfield home prices, including distressed sales, jumped 8.1 percent in June compared to the same month a year ago, according to the latest data released by Santa Ana, Calif.-based real estate data tracking firm CoreLogic (NYSE: CLGX).

Excluding distressed sales - which include short sales and real estate owned transactions - Springfield home prices increased 6.1 percent from June 2012, according to a news release.

Nationwide, home prices, including distressed sales, rose 11.9 percent year-to-year. Excluding distressed sales, U.S. home prices in June rose 11 percent from the same month in 2012.

"The U.S. housing market experienced robust price appreciation during the first half of 2013 and our forecast calls for double-digit growth through July," CoreLogic President and CEO Anand Nallathambi said in the release. "Despite their rebound of late, home prices remain reasonable in a historical context, with most states near peak affordability levels."
