Springfield foreclosures well below Mo., U.S.

The Springfield foreclosure rate for April dropped to 0.38 percent, well below the Missouri and U.S. figures for the month, according to data released today by real estate market tracker CoreLogic.

Springfield’s rate - representing foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans - decreased 0.11 percentage points from 0.49 percent in April 2014, according to a news release.

The majority of Greene County had a foreclosure rate less than 0.8 percent in April, according to a map of the region provided by CoreLogic.

Missouri’s foreclosure rate decreased 0.06 percentage points to 0.58 percent in April, and the U.S. rate fell 0.45 percentage points to 1.3 percent, according to the release.

Springfield’s mortgage delinquency rate - representing loans at least 90 days delinquent - moved down to 1.7 percent in April from 2.2 percent a year earlier. The Missouri rate dropped to 2.7 percent from 3.2 percent, and the U.S. rate decreased to 3.7 percent from 4.6 percent a year earlier, according to the release.[[In-content Ad]]
