Springfield foreclosures, mortgage delinquencies decline

Springfield’s foreclosure and mortgage delinquencies declined in November, according to the latest data from real estate market tracker CoreLogic.

During the month, Springfield’s foreclosure rate was 0.42 percent, below 0.43 percent the same month a year ago and the November national average of 1.2 percent, according to a news release.

Missouri’s foreclosure rate was 0.55 percent, down from 0.6 percent last year.

The Springfield mortgage delinquency rate - which represents loans at least 90 days delinquent - dropped to 2.03 percent, a difference of 0.38 percentage points from November 2014.

The Missouri rate moved down to 2.4 percent from 3.1 percent, and the U.S. rate decreased to 3.3 percent from 4.1 percent, according to CoreLogic.
