Earth's Harvest, a restaurant operating in the Route 66 Food Truck Park since early last year, is shuttering.
The food truck announced the closure in a Facebook post yesterday. The eatery's last day is scheduled June 30 at the 1530 St. Louis St. park.
"Due to a variety of reasons — the most urgent of which is that the property where our commercial kitchen is located near Mansfield is being sold — we find it necessary to close our doors," the post reads. "It has been a wonderful experience and great privilege to serve Springfield with vegan options for over a year."
Earth's Harvest offers a "100% plant-based menu" with options such as portobello mushrooms, a beefless barbecue meal, fish and chips and ice cream, according to its Facebook page.
Teresa Morlan and daughter Christina Crisco started the business, according to its website, in March 2020.
At the Route 66 Food Truck Park, The Wheelhouse and Not’cho Ordinary Taco are among Earth's Harvest's neighbors. The food truck park launched in early 2020.
Metro Eats, a farmers market and food truck park on West Sunshine Street, is nearing opening. The attraction on Facebook recently indicated its farmers market would launch June 5.
