Springfield CPA elected president of state board

Elliott, Robinson & Co. LLP managing partner Bob Helm has been elected president of the Missouri State Board of Accountancy.

Created in 1909, the board serves as a unit of the Missouri Department of Insurance's Division of Professional Registration. The board regulates certified public accountants in Missouri, including the issuance of CPA licenses and permits, publishing accounting policy, and investigating and disciplining CPAs in certain instances, according to a May 7 news release.

Helm, a licensed CPA, has served on the state board since Oct. 31, 2011. His term expires July 1, 2016, according to Pr.Mo.gov.[[In-content Ad]]
