Springfield company starts work on large-scale Nixa housing development

Springfield-based real estate investment and development firm O'Reilly Development Co. LLC has started work on a nearly 270,000-square-foot multifamily housing complex in Nixa.

Called The Meadows at Wicklow, the 267,175-square-foot, 240-unit housing development is being built at Old Castle Road and Tracker Road, adjoining The Villages at Wicklow subdivision and The Castlewood Senior Living, both of which also were developed by O'Reilly Development, according to a news release issued yesterday. A spokesperson declined to disclose the estimated project cost and noted a groundbreaking ceremony would be scheduled this fall.

The development has seven planned buildings for housing, along with a clubhouse, pool and dog park, among other amenities.

"As Nixa grows, we’re proud to contribute quality housing that blends modern living with lasting value in a well-planned, walkable neighborhood."

The Meadows at Wicklow is targeted for full completion in 2027, with phased openings starting in mid-2026. Russell Group is general contractor for the project designed by H Design Group LLC, and Rogersville-based Affiniti Management Services Inc. has been hired as operations and property manager. Russell Group, a multistate construction and development company, purchased Springfield-based O’Reilly Build LLC earlier this year. 

The northern Nixa housing development would have 102 two-bedroom units, 96 one-bedroom units, 24 three-bedroom units and 18 studio units, according to the release.
