A fall 2024 acquisition has positioned Springfield-based Ingram Enterprises Inc. to take the spotlight in this year's Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Show.
Ingram Enterprises, which purchased Rialto, California-based Pyro Spectaculars in September 2024, is continuing the acquired company's partnership with Macy's for undisclosed financial terms, according to a news release. Pyro Spectaculars has partnered with Macy's to design the New York City fireworks show for more than 40 years.
“We are incredibly honored to be part of this iconic tradition with Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks. Fireworks truly unite us as a country, and our expanded role in the display world now allows us to share our passion with the entire world," Ingram Enterprises President Michael Ingram said in the release.
The 25-minute fireworks show is set to feature more than 80,000 firework shells, colors and special effects, according to the release. Some 60 licensed pyrotechnicians are working on setup for 12 days, with specialized equipment placed strategically in New York City.

I am so pleased to see a local company so directly involved w/ a national fireworks display. I am a big fan of Macy's in Herald Square in NYC. I was able to shop there twice so far this year. 1st time we were cruising and I ran out of my Estee Lauder day and night creme. There was no place where we stopped when we were in Canada but they were on the 1st floor in Macy's. Later this past spring I needed a new rain coat. We honestly shopped this whole town and the closest thing I could find was a rain jacket! I was about to tell the last 4 clerks that a jacket was not a coat! So, we flew back to NYC and sure enough they had half of a floor full of ladies rain coats 1/2 price. I bought 2! My husband bought 2 solid leather dress belts. The only place in Greene co. to get a man's leather belt is Springfield leather Co. The have wonderful belts and will make 1 while you wait but they are great for jeans and not dress pants. Plus, we have known Michael since before he could drive! We are so proud of him!
