Springfield company earns state tax credits

Posted online
Central States Industrial Equipment & Service in Springfield will receive $48,134 in state tax credits for new investment during the next five years, the Missouri Department of Economic Development announced this morning.

Central States’ 2700 Partnership Blvd. facility is located in an enhanced enterprise zone, which provides the opportunity to apply for state incentives in exchange for a company’s expansion or relocation to the zone.

The pipe fabricator plans to create 10 jobs and invest $725,000 during the course of the tax credits’ five-year lifespan, according to a DED news release. A company representative could not be reached for comment.

The state’s enhanced enterprise zone program began in 2004. Zones are specified areas based on certain demographics and their potential to create jobs and spur development.[[In-content Ad]]
