The ranking is based on handicap ratings of CEOs among Fortune 1,000 companies.
Henslee is listed ahead of CEOs at Dick’s Sporting Goods, UPS, Nationwide, Dollar General, Cintas and Dillard’s.
When asked about it, Henslee downplayed the ranking and said it was incorrect; his handicap is closer to 11, he said. That still would rank him in the Top 50 and just above the Top 200’s average handicap of 10.7.
The top CEO golfer is James R. Crane of Houston-based Eagle Global Logistics with a 0.8 handicap. For Crane, golf is part of business.
“If you can’t close in four hours, you can’t sell,” he said in a press release.
